Professional History
Leora was motivated to attend law school after working as a Researcher for the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW), Local 770, where she supported organizing campaigns led by grocery, drugstore, cannabis, and meatpacking workers.
During law school, Leora worked as a law clerk in the legal departments of the Communication Workers of America and UNITE HERE Local 11, in addition to clerking at SSDS. She was active in student organizing, serving as Co-Chair of UCLA Law’s Labor and Employment Law Association and its Labor and Economic Justice Clinic.
She also volunteered with the Race, Work and Economic Justice Clinic in partnership with Legal Aid at Work, where she assisted low-wage workers in fighting workplace discrimination, wage theft, and health and safety violations.
