Yesi Lagunas is a labor and employment litigation associate with our Firm and is a tireless advocate for underserved communities.
Yesi Lagunas, a graduate of the University of California Hastings, is a litigation associate with our Firm. Prior to joining our Firm, Yesi was a legal fellow with the Greenlining Institute. As a fellow, Yesi was responsible for analyzing California legislation involving climate investments and its impacts on low-income communities. She analyzed program implementation draft scoping guidelines, submitted public comments, recommendations, and provided expert witness testimony before the State Senate.
At UC Hastings, Yesi was a law clerk for the Orange County Public Defender’s office, San Francisco City Attorney’s office, and the San Francisco Legal Aid Center. In 2015, Yesi was awarded the prestigious Peggy Browning Fund Fellowship and clerked at a union-side labor firm in New York City. Yesi was a Senior Notes Editor for Hastings Business Law journal.
Yesi’s commitment to assist underserved community members did not go unnoticed. She was awarded the Mexican American Legal Defense Fund and Orange County Hispanic Bar Association scholarships. Upon graduation, Yesi was inducted into the UC Hastings Pro Bono Society. Yesi is a fluent Spanish speaker.
