Richard Swartz graduated from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law; he also has an L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law. In law school at Berkeley, he was Senior Executive Editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal, Co-Director of the Worker’s Rights Clinic, and Research Assistant to Professor Jesse Fried, co-author of Pay Without Performance (Harvard, 2006). Before joining the firm, he worked as an editor at Transition Magazine and as a judicial extern to the Hon. Marilyn Morgan, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge, for the Northern District of California. Mr. Swartz’s practice focuses on ERISA administration and employee benefits.
