D. William Heine, Jr. is a graduate of Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley, where he served as Articles Editor of the Industrial Relations Law Journal. Mr. Heine has litigated employment cases in state and federal court, including a seven-week jury trial against the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department that led to a substantial settlement for the plaintiffs on their Title VII and Fair Labor Standards Act claims, and has handled numerous arbitrations and administrative proceedings. Mr. Heine also specializes in political campaign finance law, especially as it applies to labor unions, and litigation over the unions’ workers’ and the public’s free speech and privacy rights.
